Shrewsbury Town brought Brentford's five-game winning streak in League One to an end with a hard-fought draw.

The home side could even have taken all three points but Jon Taylor's shot was cleared off the line by Harlee Dean.

Marcello Trotta missed some good chances for the Bees and had a shot well saved by Town keeper Chris Weale.

Adam Forshaw missed another good chance late on for Brentford but Shrewsbury worked hard for the draw, making it only one defeat in the last eight.

Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"In the team talk before the game, I talked about how it was about time we kept a clean sheet.

"Everyone worked hard to keep a clean sheet, and we did just that.

"We can do better, but it was a solid performance against a good Brentford team."

Brentford boss Uwe Rosler told BBC London 94.9:
