Gillingham have signed midfielder Steven Gregory following his release by AFC Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old, who played 15 games on loan at AFC Wimbledon this season, has signed an 18-month deal.

Meanwhile goalkeeper Ross Flitney, defender Connor Essam and forward Ben Strevens have been made available on free transfers.

Strevens, 32, has scored two goals in 15 appearances while Essam and Flitney have not featured this season.

Essam, 20, signed a new three-year deal this summer and had a loan spell at Luton earlier in the campaign.

Flitney, 28, joined from Dover in 2011 and has made 31 appearances in total.

Gills manager Martin Allen said the club wish to attain a sell-on clause in any deal for Essam.

Meanwhile, midfielder Bradley Dack has been joined Braintree Town on a one-month loan deal and development squad players Alex Brown, Tom Brunt, Jack Evans and George Humber have been released.
