Neill Byrne & Scott Kay join Southport on loan

Southport have completed loan deals for Rochdale defender Neill Byrne and Huddersfield midfielder Scott Kay.

Byrne, 19, has made four appearances since and recently had a loan spell at Barrow.

"Neill is a talented young defender. He comes with very good recommendations and he will get vital experience," Watson told the club website.

Ex-Manchester City trainee Kay, 23, has not played a first-team game for Town.

He spent last season at Macclesfield, who released him following their relegation from the Football League.

Watson added: "I have tracked Scott for some time. He is a midfielder who will add strength and competition to the centre of the park."
