Barrow sign Accrington's Tom Eckersley on month's loan

Blue Square Bet Premier strugglers Barrow have completed the signing of Accrington Stanley defender Tom Eckersley on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old could make his debut in Saturday's game at Mansfield Town.

Eckersley joined Stanley after being released by Bolton Wanderers last summer and has made four appearances for the League Two outfit.

He also had a loan spell at Stockport earlier this season but featured just twice as a substitute for the Hatters.

Barrow have also brought in versatile defender Sam Hibbert on non-contract terms following his release by Stockport County.
