Mansfield Town: Lee Beevers one of 11 offered new deals

Mansfield Town defender Lee Beevers is one of 11 players to be offered new contracts with the Stags.

Beevers, John Dempster, Ross Dyer, Ben Hutchinson, Anthony Howell, Alan Marriott, Lindon Meikle, Matt Rhead, Lee Stevenson, Ritchie Sutton and Ryan Tafazolli have all been offered deals.

Louis Briscoe has accepted contract terms with the recently-crowned Blue Square Bet Premier champions.

Jamie Tolley is one of six player released by the newly-promoted club.

Gary Roberts, Jamie Hand, Andy Owens, Shane Redmond and Nick Wright are all leaving.

Striker Matt Green, along with Adam Chapman, Exodus Geohaghon, Luke Jones and Andy Todd are in contract negations with the Field Mill club.

Stags manager Paul Cox told the club website: "It was very important that we retained the nucleus of this year's championship-winning squad to keep our continuity.

"As ever there are casualties, and we wish to thank those players who now leave us for pastures new."
