Newport County have secured a host of Wembley heroes' services ahead of their return to the Football League.

Skipper David Pipe, Tony James, Byron Anthony, Mike Flynn, Lee Minshull, Danny Crow, Max Porter, Andy Sandell, Andrew Hughes, Robbie Willmott and Lenny Pidgeley have concluded contract talks.

However, they have yet to ensure Aaron O'Connor will remain.

O'Connor scored in their 2-0 Conference play-off final win against Wrexham.

The 29-year-old striker's scoring exploits have attracted interest from other clubs.

But O'Connor has said he wants to stay as the club prepare to return to the Football League after a 25-year absence.

Manager Justin Edinburgh has been quick to reward the players who sealed promotion to League Two with new deals.

And talks will continue with Ismail Yakubu, Scott Donnelly, Ben Swallow, Rhys Griffiths and Alan Julian.

In January Christian Jolley, who also scored at Wembley, signed a two-year deal to remain at Rodney Parade.
