Rangers could face a rematch with holders Queen of the South in the Ramsdens Cup quarter-final.

Queens beat Ally McCoist's side, who face League Two Berwick Rangers in the second round on Tuesday, on penalties at the same stage last season.

Formartine United have been rewarded for their 5-1 destruction of Elgin City with another League Two opponent.

The Highland League side will travel to Annan Athletic, while Raith Rovers host Falkirk and Stenhousemuir go to Dundee.

It is the third year that Highland League, external clubs have been invited to take part in the competition for teams outside Scotland's top flight.

Last season's Highland League runners-up have now defeated two League Two sides, having knocked out East Stirlingshire 2-0 in the opening round.

Ramsdens Cup quarter-finals

Annan Athletic v Formartine United

Queen of the South v Rangers or Berwick Rangers

Ties to be played on Saturday 7 September
