Oldham Athletic: Danny Philliskirk signs two-year contract

Forward Danny Philliskirk has signed a two-year contract at Oldham Athletic after initially joining the League One club on non-contract terms.
, external after being released by Coventry at the end of last season.
Philliskirk, whose father Tony is Oldham's academy manager, was a trainee at Chelsea and spent time with Sheffield United.
Oldham have the option to extend his contract by a further year.
"Danny has done really well since he arrived," manager Lee Johnson told the club website., external "He is technically very good and an excellent finisher.
"He needs to become a man in his personality on the pitch and, if we can get that into his game, he can become a top player and back to where he was as a youngster."
