Welling 1-2 Kidderminster

James Dance scored his first two goals for Kidderminster Harriers on his full debut to help end Welling's unbeaten home start in the Conference Premier.

Anthony Malbon set up Dance to fire in via a post from inside the area.

Dance, who joined Harriers on a one-year deal in the summer, then headed in Lee Vaughan's cross from six yards to double their lead by the 25th minute.

Substitute Loui Fazackerley's left-footed strike made it 2-1 but Harriers held on to end a two-game losing run.

Keeper Nathan Vaughan came in for his Harriers debut, having been preferred to last season's number one Danny Lewis.

Harriers' fourth win of the season lifts them back up to eighth in the table - just a point off the play-off zone.

Harriers manager Steve Burr told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"James Dance has been patiently waiting for his chance. I was really pleased with him and I thought his overall performance was good.

"It was nice to go in at half-time with a two-goal cushion and we should have made it three when Chey Dunkley had a great chance to score just after half-time.

"They're going to push men forward and they got it back to 2-1 but, all in all, we thoroughly deserved it.

"In the first half in particular, we created a number of chances and passed it well."
