Premier League predictions: Lawro v MOTD commentator Guy Mowbray

BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

His opponent for the Boxing Day Premier League matches is Match of the Day commentator Guy Mowbray.

Mowbray thinks Manchester City will edge their Boxing Day clash with Liverpool

Mowbray correctly tipped Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal to show some festive form and is also backing Manchester City to edge out Liverpool and maintain their 100% winning record at Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this season.

"This is game of the day on paper and it will be on the field," Mowbray said.

"City's home goals and Suarez's goals everywhere have to stop flying in at their current rate at some stage - but they will continue in this game."

A correct result is worth ONE point. A correct score earns THREE points.

In the last round of games, Lawro got five results right, with no perfect scores. His score of five saw him beat UK Prime Minister David Cameron who got four correct results, with no exact scores.

Both Lawro and Cameron were beaten by the army troops based at Camp Bastion, who got seven correct results, with one exact score, for a tally of nine points.

We're keeping a record of the total scores for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all of Lawro's predictions were correct (also at the bottom of the page).
