Wolves: Nouha Dicko targets long stay at Molineux

Wolves striker Nouha Dicko is hoping he has finally found a long-term home at the League One club.

The Frenchman, 21, had loan spells at Blackpool, Wolves and Rotherham after joining Wigan from Strasbourg in 2011.

But he said his debut strike in the 3-1 win over Bristol City on Saturday showed how happy he had been to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal at Molineux.

"It's a big club and for a young player like me I think it's the right place to be," he told BBC WM.

"I've been on loan four times and played with some good players.

"I've managed to experience big stadiums and big games and I'm happy about that, but definitely now I'm here to stay at the club and be part of the team and help it to achieve its goals."

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett left strikers Leigh Griffiths, Kevin Doyle and Liam McAlinden on the bench against Bristol City, leaving Dicko to play a solitary role up front.

And the manner in which he handled that responsibility delighted Jackett.

"Nouha got an early goal, he was involved right the way through the game and he was a threat, he gave us a different dimension," he said.

"As long as he keeps testing defences like he did on Saturday, things will work out for him because we can play the football to create chances.

"Although he's small, he's physically very strong and difficult to play against because of his pace and power.

"He's a good addition and I think it was the right time to add a player in that area who is similar to Michael Jacobs in being the right age and right profile and hunger to make their name here."
