Caretaker boss John McMahon hopes Tranmere can build on Saturday's win by achieving successive victories for the first time in League One this season.

Rovers beat Coventry 3-1 in their first game without suspended boss Ronnie Moore, and face Oldham next Saturday.

"We've not got back-to-back victories, which has been a massive thing for us, and if we could get that, it would help us," he told BBC Radio Merseyside., external

But Everton have recalled on-loan duo Matthew Pennington and Matthew Kennedy.

The pair both moved to Prenton Park in January and will return to the Toffees' development squad.

Tranmere boss Moore was suspended by the club last week pending the conclusion of a Football Association investigation into a potential breach of betting rules.

Despite Saturday's victory at Prenton Park, Rovers are only three points above the relegation zone.

"We're not going to get carried away," added McMahon. "It is a huge three points, we won't hide that fact, but it's only three points. We're still in the position we're in, and we still need to work hard and survive."
