Bamford, Wisdom and Thorne return interests Derby County

Derby are interested in re-signing loan trio Patrick Bamford, Andre Wisdom and George Thorne for next season.

Chelsea striker Bamford, 20, West Brom midfielder Thorne, 21, and Liverpool full-back Wisdom, 21, played key roles in the side beaten in the Championship play-off final by QPR.

First-team coach Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Derby: "We would like to bring them in if we possibly could.

"There might be room for manoeuvring to try to get them back."

Simpson said the Rams, who finished third in the league, would be looking at the possibility of loan or permanent deals.

"There will be talks," Simpson added. "And I am sure if we can keep the group that finished the season then we have a very good starting point and something to build on.

"We have sort of done ourselves in because they have come in and done so well for us so their teams want them back."
