Steven Reid signs one-year deal with promoted Burnley

Steven Reid spent three season at West Brom

Premier League newcomers Burnley have signed ex-Republic of Ireland defender Steven Reid on a one-year deal.

The 33-year-old former Blackburn player was a free agent after being released by West Brom at the end of last season.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: "He is a very strong-minded professional and he has had years in the Premier League so he has that bit of experience."

Reid is Burnley's fifth signing of the summer, alongside Michael Kightly,Matt Gilks,Marvin Sordell and Matt Taylor.
