Alex Wynter: Crystal Palace defender joins Portsmouth on loan

Wynter has had loan spells at non-league clubs Eastbourne and Sutton

Portsmouth have signed defender Alex Wynter on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.

Wynter, 20, has played for Palace's first team twice and appeared six times on loan at Colchester last season.

"Alex is a very welcome addition to the squad and provides versatility because he can play in a few different positions," Pompey boss Andy Awford told his club's website.

"He's very athletic and will complement the defenders we've already got."
