Caretaker boss Mark Noon started his time in charge of Nuneaton with a win over Forest Green - the day after Brian Reid parted company with the club.

Substitute Jorrin John scored the only goal after a swift counter-attack following a Forest Green corner to take Nuneaton out of the relegation zone.

Forest Green had two good chances to get something out of the game.

James Norwood shot wide after being put through before Luke Oliver's header was superbly saved by Reice Charles-Cook.
