Gary Simpson: Lincoln City reach agreement on manager exit
- Published
Conference Premier side Lincoln City have reached an agreement with manager Gary Simpson for him to leave the club.
Simpson, 53, was placed on gardening leave last month after a run of two wins from 10 league games.
A short club statement thanked Simpson for his efforts while at the club and wished him well for the future.
Stand-in management duo Chris Moyses and Grant Brown took over from Simpson and have been told they will get time to prove they can do the job.
Lincoln were 13th in the table when Simpson was relieved of his duties, eight points adrift of the play-off places and seven points above the relegation zone after 18 games.
They are now 15th, nine points off the play-offs and ten points clear of the bottom four.
