Guernsey FC still have a "sniff" of making the Isthmian League Division One South play-offs, according to assistant manager Colin Fallaize.
Guernsey have won six of their last seven games and are 10 points adrift of the final play-off place.
"Where we are now, we're still within a little sniff of taking the season right to the very end if we could," he said.
"To be competitive and have a slim possibility in any play-offs keeps you right on your toes."
Guernsey host Carshalton Athletic in the middle of a run of three successive home games as they look to keep the pressure up on their rivals.

They are without Tom de la Mare and Liam Mahon, who are on Guernsey Under-21 duty.
"We'll still be a very strong attacking force," Fallaize told BBC Radio Guernsey.
"We want to make the best of our home games and that's what we'll be hoping to do on Saturday against very competitive opposition."
