Blackpool manager Neil McDonald has made his first signing since being appointed by bringing in former Birmingham goalkeeper Colin Doyle.

The 29-year-old, released by Blues last month, has agreed a two-year contract.

He played 31 league games for Birmingham and had loan spells at Chester, Nottingham Forest, Millwall and Coventry City.

"What the manager said about the club and what he hopes to bring in convinced me to come here," said Doyle.

He told the club website: "I was at Birmingham a long time after coming through the academy and the last few years have gone a bit stale because I didn't play many games there.

"I want to come here, play regularly and get a full season under my belt. This is a new chapter now and one that I'm really looking forward to getting started."

Meanwhile, 17-year-old winger Henry Cameron has signed a new contract to the end of the 2016-17 season.
