    Championship club Leeds United have signed goalkeeper Charlie Horton, 20, on a two-year contract.

    USA Under-23 international Horton joined Cardiff from League One side Peterborough in 2014, but failed to make an appearance for the club.

    Good news for Swansea City fans.

    Ghana forward Andre Ayew has held talks with Swansea about a possible move to the Liberty Stadium.

    Talks will continue on Wednesday when the player could also have a medical.

    The 25-year-old's contract with Marseille expired in June.

    He scored 52 goals for the French club in 181 appearances since joining them in 2006.

    Chelsea keeper Petr Cech is reportedly a target for Arsenal but Blues boss Jose Mourinho has warned the Gunners they may have to send a player his way if any deal is to be done.

    "Every club that is interested in Petr, I can find a player that I like in that team too," said Mourinho.

    "My answer is not important because the owner is the owner, he is the person with the perspective I admire a lot, respect a lot. He respects a lot of people who do important things for him.

    "I'm different. I have the same respect for Petr that everybody at the club has, but my answer would be, no way. If the answer is different I will accept that."

    Warrington Wolves have signed Hull FC winger Tom Lineham in a four-year deal to start in the 2016 season.

    They have paid £140,000 for the 22-year-old, who is Super League's second-highest try-scorer this season with 15.

    "Tom's try-scoring speaks for itself and he is a player I have greatly admired for years since he came on the scene," Warrington head coach Tony Smith told the club website.

    Chelsea's Eden Hazard is worth more than Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo according to the latest report by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory.

    The Belgian was valued between £135.4 million and £148.9m behind Barcelona's Lionel Messi rated the most valuable at £255.3m to £280.8m.

    Real Madrid forward Ronaldo is third on the list worth £113.3m to £124.7m, Neymar fourth at £89.6m to £98.5m and fifth is Manchester City's Sergio Aguero worth £78.2m to £86.0m.

    Liverpool's Raheem Sterling is the highest English player on the list worth £73.7m to £81.0m.

    The data looks at a player's age, the length of their contract and the level of their performance as well as taking into account their club's results and achievements, to work out how much the player would be worth in the transfer market.

    Danny Ings will go into the Under-21 European Championship on the back of agreeing a move to Liverpool and England boss Gareth Southgate hopes to reap the rewards of a striker in buoyant mood.

    "He is excited," said Southgate. "He is a player we like a lot. He has grown with us. He is always wanting to learn and always wanting to improve. It's a great opportunity for him.

    "After this summer, he is only eligible for the seniors and he will face new experiences like European football.

    "He has proven he can score goals in the Premier League with a [Burnley] side that didn't create as many chances as Liverpool."

    Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been reflecting on a 'bittersweet' season with the Gunners as he prepares to play in the Copa America with Chile.

    The north London club won the FA Cup and finished third in the top flight but Sanchez says: "I would have liked to have been in the Champions League final, to have won the Premier League title.

    "I would have liked to be in the Champions League final or to have won the Premier League title. I believe we have a bunch of skilful players so to not achieve more is disappointing."

    Stewart Cink will miss out on a 20th consecutive US Open appearance at Chambers Bay in Washington next week after failing to come through qualifying.

    The American, who won the Open in 2009, joins the likes of Chris DiMarco and Brett Wetterich in missing out, but England's Luke Donald has earned a place after topping the leaderboard at the Bears Club in Jupiter.

    Determined to see their side promoted, a supporters' trust set a donation target of £20,000 but more than £41,000 has been contributed inside a week.

    Two-time world champion Lewis Hamilton says his self-professed rock and roll lifestyle away from F1 will not lead him astray.

    "Jumping off the boat, jumping off rocks, jet skiing, all those things I like to do, I still do them," says the 30-year-old.

    "That's me going wild. There's no other way I want to go. What else is there to do?, I am already living life to the full.

    "I never ever want to do either (drink or drugs), I can't really understand why people do it. So no. I've never had it my family."

    Wales could return to the Millennium Stadium if they qualify for Euro 2016, says Football Association of Wales chief executive Jonathan Ford.

    Cardiff City Stadium will host Chris Coleman's side remaining home qualifiers but the FAW chief is open to a return to the home of Welsh rugby should the side qualify for their first major tournament finals since 1958.

    "Let's see where we get with the qualifiers," Ford said. "We've always had the intention of going back to the Millennium Stadium at some point in the future.
