Wigan and former England goalkeeper Scott Carson has joined Championship side Derby for an undisclosed fee.
Carson made 34 league appearances for the Latics last season as they suffered relegation to League One.
The 29-year-old, who won the last of his four England caps in 2011, has signed a two-year deal with the Rams.
"Scott is an experienced goalkeeper who has played at the highest level for a number of years," new Derby head coach Paul Clement told the club's website. , external
"Competition for places across the squad is important and Scott's arrival certainly brings that to the goalkeeping department.
"We have two good goalkeepers already in Lee Grant and Kelle Roos and bringing Scott in will certainly raise the battle for the place between the posts."
Carson began his career at Leeds United and later moved to Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion before a spell in Turkish football with Bursaspor.
