Bury have restructured their coaching set-up with Chris Brass becoming head of football operations and Ben Futcher taking his role as assistant manager.

Brass, 39, who spent 18 months as a player with the Shakers, returned to the club two years ago after a previous spell as assistant under Alan Knill.

Futcher, 34, moves up from his role as first-team coach at the JD Stadium.

Midfielder Chris Sedgwick, 35, will take on Futcher's previous role after signing a two-year player-coach deal.

The trio all worked as part of manager David Flitcroft's backroom staff last season as they were promoted to League One.
