Leeds have signed Palermo defender Sol Bamba for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old Ivory Coast international finished the 2014-15 season on loan at Elland Road, scoring one goal in 19 appearances.

The former Leicester City man has now signed a two-year deal with the option of a third.

He is the third player to join the Championship side this summer after Motherwell striker Lee Erwin and Cardiff goalkeeper Charlie Horton.

Meanwhile, sporting director Nicola Salerno has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Salerno was appointed by chairman Massimo Cellino last summer but his departure seemed inevitable after Cellino claimed he had resigned in April.
