Championship side Brentford have signed right-back Maxime Colin from Belgian side Anderlecht for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old Frenchman has signed a four-year contract with the Bees.
"After losing Moses Odubajo to Hull I am glad we have secured a new player for the right-back position quickly," coach Marinus Dijkhuizen said., external
"Maxime has experience of playing at a good level with Anderlecht. He is an athletic defender who is also comfortable at the ball."
Colin began his senior career at US Boulogne and spent two years with Troyes before moving to Pro League side Anderlecht last summer.
He has represented France at under-20s level.
"Maxime is a player who we have watched extensively over recent weeks, so when Moses left it was a relatively straightforward move," Brentford co-director of football Phil Giles added.
He becomes Brentford's ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
Subject to international clearance, the defender could make his debut for the Bees against Bristol City on Saturday.
