AFC Telford have sacked Steve Kittrick in the wake of the club's poor start to the National League North season.

Former Guiseley manager Kittrick was appointed Bucks boss in December 2014 following the dismissal of Liam Watson.

But the 57-year-old could not keep Telford in the non-league top flight - and they are now bottom of the table, having picked up just one point and scored one goal in five matches.

Former Nuneaton and Wrexham boss Kevin Wilkin has been linked with the job.

AFC Telford United's run of managers

May 2010-Jan 2013 - Andy Sinton sacked (after two and half years)

Feb 2013 - Mark Cooper resigns to move to Swindon (five games)

March 2013 - Graham Hyde resigns (after just two matches)

March-April 2013 - John Psaras not re-engaged (nine games)

May 2013-Dec 2014 Liam Watson sacked (promotion in first season)

Dec 2014-Aug 2015 - Steve Kittrick sacked (7 wins in 26 league games)

Wilkin first expressed interest in becoming Telford boss in March 2013 when he was coming to the end of his long stay at Liberty Way.

Instead, it was another 13 months before he left Nuneaton to become Wrexham manager - but that lasted less than year, as he was sacked following the FA Trophy final defeat by North Ferriby United.

Kittrick's assistant Chris Holland has also left Telford with immediate effect.

Whoever is appointed at the Bucks Head will become the Shropshire club's seventh manager in just over two and a half years.
