Simonas Stankevicius: Leicester City striker joins Oldham on loan

Lithuania striker Simonas Stankevicius scored one goal in five appearances for Nuneaton last season

League One side Oldham have signed striker Simonas Stankevicius from Leicester on a three-month loan deal.

Stankevicius has yet to feature for the Foxes' first team, but made five appearances on loan at Conference club Nuneaton last season.

The 19-year-old has won 10 caps for Lithuania, coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 loss to England in March.

Meanwhile, defender Gavin Gunning has left the Latics following the expiry of his short-term contract.

The 24-year-old made one appearance for Oldham, having signed on a free transfer in August.
