Swansea City has parted company with defender Dwight Tiendalli.

Tiendalli was in the last year of his deal and has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old full-back joined the club on a free transfer in September 2012 and scored once in 46 appearances in all competitions.

His impressive performances for the Swans earned him his international debut as he featured for Netherlands against Indonesia in June 2013.

He made his debut in a Capital One Cup tie at Crawley, and came off the bench in the 5-0 victory over Bradford in the 2013 final at Wembley as the Swans claimed their first silverware.

However, Tiendalli made only just six appearances for the Swans, and played twice for Middlesbrough during a loan spell.
