Scot Bennett: Notts County midfielder joins Newport on loan

Newport County have completed the loan signing of midfielder Scot Bennett from Notts County until January.
Bennett, 24, is John Sheridan's first signing as Exiles manager.
The former Exeter City captain arrives in time to play at Mansfield on Saturday, subject to international clearance,
"I've always liked him as a player at Exeter where he was captain and they were doing well in this division and he's at a good age," Sheridan said.
"He's not playing at Notts County for what reason I don't know why but I'm very pleased to get him.
"He just brings that experience of knowing this division and he can play in a few positions as well."

Bennett, 24, joined Notts County on a free transfer from Exeter City in May 2015, signing a two-year contract.
But Bennett has only featured four times for the Meadow Lane club since his summer move.
"I've found it very frustrating [at Notts County], I started the season well, got injured and then from there never got back in the team," Benntt said.
"Now it's time to come here and hopefully I can put in my best performances and we can keep climbing that table.
"I've definitely got to prove something to Notts County and to the fans here that I'm definitely worthy of a spot in the team."
BBC Wales Sport understands Newport are close to completing a deal for another player before Saturday's trip to Field Mill.
