Truro City keeper Martin Rice 'outstanding' in Maidenhead draw, says boss Steve Tully

Truro have had four 0-0 draws this season, all of them coming away from home

Truro City manager Steve Tully says goalkeeper Martin Rice was "outstanding" in their goalless draw at Maidenhead in National League South.

The Cornish side had to play the last 30 minutes with 10 men after Craig Duff was shown a second yellow card.

"Just when you need your goalkeeper to stand up and make crucial saves, he did," Tully told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I'm really delighted for him - he's an experienced lad and he's a leader for me on the pitch."

The point keeps Truro fourth, in the play-off places, with 10 games remaining.

Tully's side have now kept 13 clean sheets in the league this season - only leaders Ebbsfleet have more.

"I said to him, I want you to get to 20 (clean sheets), and then we'll start celebrating because we'll definitely be in the play-offs," added Tully.

"He was outstanding and he'll deservedly get his plaudits."
