Adam Webster has made 67 league appearances for Portsmouth

Ipswich Town are set to sign defender Adam Webster from League Two side Portsmouth, with Matt Clarke going the other way, reports BBC Radio Suffolk.

Webster, 21, played 35 times for Pompey in 2015-16, including against Ipswich in the FA Cup earlier in the campaign.

The deal would see 19-year-old defender Clarke make a permanent move to Fratton Park, having spent the season on loan there and making 33 appearances.

Webster would be Mick McCarthy's side's first signing of the summer.
