Wales Women: Manager Jayne Ludlow plans development after Euro loss
- Published
Manager Jayne Ludlow has named a squad of 21 for Wales Women's friendly against the Republic of Ireland.
With Wales already out of contention of Euro 2017, Ludlow is looking at squad development in the friendly and the two remaining qualifying games.
Wales face Israel on 15 September and Austria on 20 September.
"The friendly against Republic of Ireland will be a great opportunity to continue our development," said Ludlow.
"The fact that we have two games in quick succession will allow us to give competitive game time to a large number of the squad which includes some talented younger players coming through the system."
Norway ended Wales' Euro 2017 qualification hopes with a 2-0 win in Newport on 7 June.
