Caernarfon players and staff celebrate their victory

Laurie Bell scored in the final minute of extra time to give Caernarfon Town a 2-1 win over Flint Town United in the Cymru Premier play-off at the Oval.

Victory means Caernarfon will play in next season's Scottish Challenge Cup, along with The New Saints.

Daniel Gossett put Caernarfon ahead in the first half of extra time when he turned well on the edge of the box and found the bottom corner.

Yet just six minutes later Flint were level as Ben Nash hooked home.

Dion Donohue thought he had won it for Caernarfon deep in extra time when he burst forward and rolled inside the far post, but the effort was disallowed because Cai Jones tried to get a touch on the shot and was offside.

But the hosts were not to be denied, as Bell popped up at the far post to head Caernarfon to victory.

Flint keeper Jon Rushton had earlier made a number of saves, most notably from Mike Hayes.

Flint's Ben Nash and Michael Wilde both hit the woodwork in the second half of normal time.
