Hamilton Academical 1-1 Greenock Morton: Accies survive 50 minutes with 10 men to draw

  • Published

Hamilton Academical secured a point at home to Greenock Morton despite having to play 50 minutes with 10 men in their Scottish Championship opener.

Striker Andy Ryan fired the hosts ahead after only 12 minutes from close range.

But the scores were level shortly before the break after Shaun Want fouled on-loan Livingston winger Jaze Kabia to concede a penalty kick.

With the defender sent off for a second yellow card, former Accies midfielder Grant Gillespie slotted the leveller.
