30 September

Maidstone United have signed Dutch midfielder Dylan Barkers on a month-long-loan from Cheltenham Town.

The 22-year-old had brief loan spells with both Leamington and Gloucester in National League North last season.

Southend United have been placed under a transfer embargo, according to BBC Essex Sport., external

The club was previously placed under an embargo by the National League in December 2021 due to debts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

29 September

Stoke City centre-back David Okagbue has extended his loan to Oldham Athletic until 8 January.

The 18-year-old has made three appearances for the Latics, and has been retained by new boss David Unsworth.

27 September

Midfielder John Rooney has joined Oldham Athletic from League Two side Barrow on a two-year deal with the option of a third.

The 31-year-old, who won promotion from the division with Barrow in 2019-20, becomes new boss David Unsworth's first signing since replacing John Sheridan as manager.

26 September

Aldershot have extended the loan of midfielder Frank Vincent from National League rivals Notts County for a further three months.

The 23-year-old has made five appearances for the Shots so far this season, only missing the game against his parent club.

23 September

Wealdstone have signed out-of-contract midfielder Giovanni McGregor from Dulwich Hamlet on a two-year deal.

The training compensation fee due for the former Brentford and Crystal Palace academy product will be decided by a tribunal.

Boreham Wood have signed midfielder George Broadbent on a short-term loan from Championship side Sheffield United.

The former Manchester United youngster made 27 League One appearances on loan for Rochdale last season and will join fellow Blades loanee Zak Brunt in the centre of the Wood midfield.

Dorking Wanderers have signed winger Seb Bowerman from Bracknell Town.

The 27-year-old, who was Bracknell's captain, has scored four goals for the Southern Premier League Central side this season before his move to the fifth tier.

Scunthorpe have re-signed midfielder Tom Pugh, 21, after he left Glanford Park in the summer, while striker Caolan Lavery has signed a deal until January.

17 September

Gateshead have signed left-back Luke Daly on loan from Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The 19-year-old has joined on an initial 28-day youth loan and is available for Saturday's league game against Boreham Wood.

16 September

Aldershot Town have signed central midfielder Tom Whelan on a one-month loan deal from Chesterfield.

The 25-year-old spent the first half of last season playing for Eastleigh, where he scored four goals in 27 appearances. He then re-signed with Chesterfield in February 2022.

Oldham Athletic have signed centre-half James Carragher on a loan deal from Championship side Wigan Athletic.

The 19-year-old, son of Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher, joins the club on a short-term loan until 1 January 2023.

Maidstone have signed Sheffield Wednesday defender Ryan Galvin on a two-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old left-back spent the first half of last season at National League North side Gloucester City and signed a new contract to keep him at Hillsborough until 2023.

12 September

Wealdstone have signed ex-Norwich and Watford goalkeeper Dante Baptiste.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with play-off winners Farnborough in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Baptiste joined the Stones in pre-season and played in friendlies against Billericay and Chelmsford City.

Notts County have signed Portuguese midfielder Quevin Castro from Championship side West Brom on loan until 8 January.

He has played three first-team games for the Baggies and also had a short loan spell at Burton Albion at the start of this season.

8 September

Burnley have loaned striker Joe McGlynn to Oldham Athletic on a month-long basis.

Southend United have signed 19-year-old Salford City striker Marcus Dackers on a month-long loan.

Dorking have signed 25-year-old midfielder Alfie Egan from Boreham Wood on a permanent deal.

York City boss John Askey has signed a one-year contract extension.

Askey took over the Minstermen in November 2011 and led them to promotion back to the National League last season.

2 September

Altrincham have signed left-back Eddy Jones and midfielder Dan Malone on loan from Stoke City until January.

Oldham Athletic have signed defenders Charlie Wellens and David Okagbue on loan.

Right-back Wellens, 19, joins from Manchester United until 8 January, while 18-year-old Okagbue will stay with the Latics until 28 September, from Stoke City.

Maidenhead United have signed winger Ashley Nathaniel-George on a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old's former clubs include Crawley Town and Southend United while he spent time last season on loan at Ebbsfleet United in the National League South.

Southend United have signed Sheffield United midfielder Kacper Lopata for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.

The 20-year-old from Poland played 18 games for the Shrimpers during a loan spell last season.

1 September

Chesterfield have signed midfielder Tim Akinola, 21, on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.

Woking have signed full-back Jake Vokins, 22, on a season-long loan from Premier League side Southampton.

Vokins has previously had loan spells with Sunderland in League One and Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

Gateshead have agreed a deal to sign centre-back Jevon Mills on loan from Championship club Hull City.

Mills will stay with the Tynesiders until January.

Yeovil Town have signed winger Will Dawes, 21, from Southern League Premier Central side Stratford Town on a two-year contract

Boreham Wood midfielder Erico Sousa requires surgery following an injury picked up earlier this season.

The club say the 27-year-old former Accrington Stanley and Grimsby Town winger will be on the sidelines until the new year.

Barnet have signed attacker Idris Kanu from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

The length of the 22-year-old's contract at the Hive has not been disclosed.

Scunthorpe United have appointed academy manager Tony Daws as their interim manager after they sacked Keith Hill on 30 August.

The Iron won their first game of the season but went on to lose their next five games, resulting in Hill's departure.

Goalkeeping coach Paul Musselwhite and former Iron defender Michael Nelson will assist Daws, who has had previous caretaker stints at Scunthorpe in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Yeovil Town have signed winger Will Dawes on a two-year deal from Southern League Premier Central side Stratford Town.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Stratford and scored the goal which sent the club to the FA Cup first round for the first time in October 2021.
