Partick Thistle clung on to the final play-off spot in the Scottish Championship despite being held by Raith Rovers.

Kris Doolan's side started the day in third but were given a nervous night when Lewis Vaughan's penalty and Scott McGill's strike had Rovers in front.

But Scott Tiffoney's equaliser added to Darren Brownlie's earlier opener as Thistle edged Morton on goal difference.

Rovers finish in seventh place.

Ian Murray's side were the only team in the division with nothing to play for and end their season.

Thistle host Glasgow rivals Queen's Park in the first leg of the play-off quarter-final on Tuesday, with the return at Ochilview on Friday.
