  4. 'We have to go up the hard way now' - Coylepublished at 22:18 British Summer Time 5 May 2023

    FT: Dundee 5-3 Queen's Park

Queen’s Park manager Owen Coyle tells BBC Scotland that there is still plenty to be positive about at the club.

“We know what we’ve got in our team," he says. "I think probably over the course of the season our Achilles heel has been defending situations that we certainly didn’t do tonight.

“In terms of passing and controlling the ball, what we want to do and what we want to develop at the club, there was so much to be pleased about in that aspect.

“The bottom line is we’ve lost the game that could have made us champions. We have to get to the Premiership now, through the play-offs, the hard way.

“But what I do know from my own experience, if there’s a way to go up, it’s through the play-offs - I can assure you."

    FT: Queen's Park 3-5 Dundee

Dundee managing director John Nelms tells BBC Scotland that the club must now work towards becoming a top-six side.

“I thought we were cruising, then I thought we were down, and then cruising, and then down. It was fantastic.

“All the credit to the players, they fought to the very end. It means we’re back to where we think we should be, we should always be in the top flight.

“Now, we have a long way to go, that work's already started. We’ve got a long summer.”

  9. 'Makes it all worthwhile' - Keyespublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 5 May 2023

    FT: Dundee 5-3 Queen's Park

Dundee co-owner Tim Keyes tells BBC Scotland: “It feels awesome! Couldn't be better, what a great second half we played, and what a great season we had.

“Kudos to all the players out there. It was a great experience. We’ve had our ups and downs over eight or nine years but when you see things like this it makes it all worthwhile.”

    FT: Queen's Park 3-5 Dundee

Dundee manager Gary Bowyer tells BBC Scotland: "I'm delighted for the players and staff. I've got nothing but praise for them all.

"You couldn't have scripted it any better. The goals we conceded were ridiculous! But it was brilliant. It's unfair Queen's Park don't come up with us. We wish them all the best."

Not a classic, but both sides finish the game with their objective completed!

Arbroath extend their stay in the second tier of Scottish football to a fifth season, which is a record for the Red Lichties.

Accies, meanwhile, jump up to ninth and avoid automatic relegation. They’ll face Alloa Athletic or Airdrieonians in the Championship play-off semi-final first leg on Tuesday.

I hope this is up to date. It won't be changing again.

Dundee are up. Ayr, Queen's Park or Partick Thistle might also go up. Cove are down. Hamilton might also go down.

    I think that makes sense.
