Sheffield Wednesday fined £50,000 for fan conduct and pitch invasion after Peterborough United play-off

Sheffield Wednesday have been fined £50,000 for crowd control misconduct during their League One play-off semi-final second leg win over Peterborough.
The club admitted failing to ensure fans conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and failing to stop any form of pitch incursion, the Football Association said.
The Owls came from 4-0 down after the first leg to win the tie on penalties.
In a statement,, external the club said they would make no further comment.
In its written reasons, external for issuing the fine, the independent regulatory commission heard that pyrotechnics and other items were thrown onto the pitch and supporters entered the field of play at multiple points during the match.
A mass pitch invasion occurred after the penalty shootout, during which both assistant referees were not given assistance to leave the field while one was knocked over by a celebrating supporter.
Following their stunning comeback, Sheffield Wednesday went on to beat Barnsley at Wembley in the League One play-off final to return to the Championship after two seasons away.
