Bottom side Queen's Park's resolute defensive display secured a goalless draw to prevent Dundee United closing on Raith Rovers at the top of the Scottish Championship.

Winger Matthew Cudjoe blazed over the best chance of a first half in which United dominated possession.

Striker Louis Moult fired straight at home goalkeeper Callum Ferrie as United continued to press after the break.

Home forward Ruari Paton also failed to turn the ball home at the back post.

The draw means United miss a chance to narrow the gap on Raith Rovers, who stay five points clear after drawing 4-4 at home to Ayr United and have played a game more.

Queen's Park remain bottom, now a point behind Arbroath, having gone 13 games without a win, seven at home, and have now not beaten United in 15 meetings since their last victory over the Tannadice side in October 1958.
