Carlisle United head coach Mark Hughes was pleased with how his side bounced back to winning ways in the National League.
The 1-0 success at Brackley on Wednesday came four days after they suffered their first defeat of the season at Sutton United.
It now means the Cumbrians are up to third, three points behind early pacesetters Forest Green Rovers.
"We were disappointed last time out but we've bounced back very, very quickly," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"That's really what you have to do and shows a good quality in the group."
Regan Linney struck in the 79th minute to secure Carlisle a third win out of four on the road this season.
It was a sixth goal in seven games since his summer move from Altrincham and puts him one clear of Rochdale's Emmanuel Dieuseruvwe at the top of the division's scoring charts.
"Regan just needs that little half a yard to get his shots off," added Hughes.
"He was a little bit frustrated today for whatever reason but I told him you don't have to play well every week as long as you score the winner.
"That's the beauty of being a striker, I know it well."
