Sutton claimed their first win of the season as goals from Edon Pruti and David Ogbonna earned them a 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Carlisle.
Albanian defender Pruti headed home in the 49th minute and Ogbonna struck late on as the hosts ended a five-match winless run to start their National League campaign.
Carlisle controlled the first half as they chased a third straight win, but Regan Linney was denied by Sutton goalkeeper Jack Sims with their best chance.
Pruti nodded Sutton ahead from a corner early in the second half and, as Carlisle pushed for a leveller, Ogbonna raced clear on the break and dinked over Gabriel Breeze to make it 2-0.
Georgie Kelly pulled one back in stoppage time to set up a nervy finale but Sutton held on.
