Woking striker Sam Ashford suffered a broken collarbone in the Cards' 1-1 draw at Halifax Town on Wednesday.

Josh Hmami rescued a point for the hosts from the penalty spot in added time after Harry Beautyman had given Woking the lead.

Ashford sustained the injury in the second half and was replaced by Josh Kelly in the 63rd minute.

"Woking Football Club can confirm that striker Sam Ashford sustained a broken clavicle during Wednesday night's 1-1 draw at FC Halifax Town," Woking said in a statement in their website., external

"Sam is OK and has been discharged from Calderdale Royal Hospital, but will still require further assessment. The doctors have allowed him to travel home to receive additional treatment."

Ashford joined the Cards from Wealdstone in March and has made 12 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.

Woking host Gateshead in the National League on Saturday.
