Bromley got their first ever win the Carabao Cup with victory on penalties over Ipswich Town on Tuesday

Bromley boss Andy Woodman said he hopes his side receive a "big draw" after knocking Championship side Ipswich Town out of the Carabao Cup.

The likes of Everton, West Ham United and Manchester United will enter the second-round draw, and Woodman would like an away tie at a large stadium to boost Bromley's finances.

The Ravens beat the Tractor Boys 5-4 on penalties in the first round after drawing 1-1 at Hayes Lane on Tuesday, with Bromley goalkeeper Sam Long saving two spot-kicks in the club's first-ever EFL Cup win.

"I said to the team, 'Go and give a good account of yourselves and don't be overawed by the occasion - there's no pressure on us at all' - and they really did that," Woodman told BBC Radio London.

"I felt we were good for it [the win] in the 90 minutes. That said, our goalkeeper had a couple of good saves as well, and they missed a really good chance right at the end.

"But that's cup football - you need all those little bits of luck to go your way, and we got those little slices of luck and took our chances and we're through to the next round, so we're delighted."

The Ravens have picked up four points from their opening two matches in League Two and host Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

"If I'm to be really honest, we're not going to win the Carabao Cup are we? As much as we'd like to dream, we're not," Woodman said.

"And I think it would be nice for the club to get a big draw like we did in the FA Cup with Newcastle [last season] and hopefully get some money into the football club, because it's not easy.

"The chairman's put a lot of his own money into the club to make sure it's sustainable, and I always like to feel like we're giving something back.

"I'd like to get one of the bigger clubs and away from home, so we can hopefully get a stadium full."

Bromley will find out their EFL Cup opponents when the draw for the second round is made on Wednesday evening.
