Who are new Wales call-ups Koumas, Crew and Stevens?
- Published
Lewis Koumas, Charlie Crew and Fin Stevens have earned their first call-ups to Wales' senior squad for the upcoming friendlies against Gibraltar and Slovakia.
Forward Koumas, midfielder Crew and right-back Stevens have all been prominent figures for Wales Under-21s and now have the chance to impress senior national manager Rob Page next month.
Wales face Gibraltar in Portugal on 6 June before taking on Slovakia in Trnava three days later after missing out on a place at Euro 2024.
Koumas, Crew and Stevens are bidding to take their chance in the limelight as the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Harry Wilson and Neco Williams miss the international camp.
But what can the Red Wall expect from the trio and what have they done in their fledgling careers to date?
BBC Sport Wales takes a closer look at the young guns.

Lewis Koumas, 18, forward
The surname will certainly be a familiar one to Wales fans, and Lewis Koumas is now bidding to follow in the footsteps of his father, Jason, in winning senior caps for his country.
Koumas Jr has enjoyed quite the rise of late, making his first-team debut for Liverpool against Southampton in the FA Cup in February.
The 18-year-old scored after 44 minutes in a 3-0 win over the Saints, earning praise from then Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp who hailed Koumas as a "fantastic finisher".
Just shy of a month after his exploits at Anfield, Koumas netted the winner on his Wales Under-21s debut in a Euro qualifier against Lithuania at Rodney Parade.
His versatility will no doubt prove hugely beneficial, with Koumas able to operate in a deeper role, wide attack and as a number nine, although he has predominantly played in a left-sided attacking berth.
And following a season in which Koumas netted 17 goals across all levels for Liverpool, Wales boss Page felt it was a no-brainer to expose the youngster to the senior setup next month.
“How can I ignore it when he has done what he has done for Liverpool in the first team?" Page told BBC Sport Wales.
“It would be foolish for me to ignore it. I have to use this little window we have to see him work and to see him train."
Speaking to BBC Sport Wales after his debut goal against Lithuania, Koumas said: "It's been a great period for me, a crazy journey but a lot of positives to take from it.
"It's only the start and I have to keep my head down, keep training, keep a smile on my face and see where it takes me."
Charlie Crew, 17, midfielder
Crew started his youth career with boyhood club Cardiff City before joining Leeds United in the summer of 2022.
Having impressed for the Whites' Under-18s and Under-21s, Crew was last year handed a new contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2025.
Indeed, Leeds Under-21s won promotion in Premier League 2 during Crew's first season at the club, with the Welshman featuring 10 times in the competition.
As for the most recent campaign, Crew featured in three Championship matchday squads under Daniel Farke, although he was an unused substitute in each of those games.
He featured in every fixture as Leeds Under-18s enjoyed a fine run in the FA Youth Cup, before losing 4-0 to Manchester City in the final at the Etihad Stadium.
The midfielder has already made a big impression on the international scene too, captaining Wales at the 2023 European Under-17 Championship in Hungary.
Fin Stevens, 21, right-back
Fin Stevens is the most senior of Wales' new call-ups and has already amassed 17 caps for the Under-21s.
The Brentford right-back has had two loan spells away from the Bees, most recently with Oxford United.
Stevens featured 43 times in all competitions as Des Buckingham's side gained promotion into the Championship by beating Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in the League One play-off final at Wembley.
This followed a more frustrating loan stint with Swansea City during the 2022-23 campaign, where he was restricted to just five Championship appearances before prematurely returning to his parent club Brentford.
Thomas Frank certainly values Stevens, mind, as the 21-year-old is contracted to Brentford until the summer of 2027. The Bees also hold an option to extend that deal by 12 months.
