Interim head coach Chris Church has left Swansea City Women after 11 years at the club.

Church had been in charge since October 2023, having previously won the Welsh title as Swansea boss in 2021-22.

Swansea finished second to Cardiff City in the Adran Premier this season.

Alice Weekes, who was named Swansea’s first head of women’s football in March, thanked Church for his “hard work and dedication”.

“Chris has managed the team through a period of major transition, following the introduction of semi-professional contracts for the women's first team last summer,” she said.

Church joined Swansea – then known as Swansea City Ladies - in 2013 as reserve-team manager and has also served as assistant boss and under-19s coach.

"I’ve had an incredible journey with Swansea City. It’s been fantastic to see the women’s game make such strides in Swansea and Wales,” he said.
