Blackburn Rovers boss Valerien Ismael has said that if the price is right then they would allow captain Lewis Travis to leave the club.
Travis has been subject to interest from Derby County this summer, and has asked Rovers for a move away.
The Rams have reportedly bid for Travis but that has fallen short of Blackburn's valuation of their skipper, Ismael said.
"We know that there is interest. He wants to leave but we said that if the price was right for the club - like Callum Brittain - then we will see," Ismael told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"At the minute is not the case."
Travis played 81 minutes of Blackburn's 1-0 defeat away to West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the Championship season but was an unused substitute in Tuesday's Carabao Cup loss to Bradford City.
"When a player is out of contract or has one year left, a player will look [at options], it's not only about Lewis Travis it's about the football world," Ismael added.
"Everyone looks at themselves and are focussed on themselves which is understandable but we do the same as a club.
"We have a clear idea of what we want so either we keep our captain or someone matches the price we expected."
