Newtown have sacked manager Callum McKenzie with two games of the JD Cymru Premier season remaining.
McKenzie succeeded Scott Ruscoe, who left the club in November 2024.
The Robins are currently 11th in the table and six points adrift of safety, with their remaining games against already relegated Aberystwyth Town and Flint Town United.
They will be relegated from the Cymru Premier for the first time if rivals Briton Ferry Llansawel secure a point from their last two games.
"This season has presented significant challenges for the club, and while a slim mathematical possibility of reining Cymru Premier status remains, this provides the board an opportunity to begin a wider strategic review and provide ample time to appoint a new manager ahead of the next campaign," Newtown said in a statement.
"This change is seen as a crucial step in laying the foundations for a long-term rebuild."
