Salford sign Derby midfielder Fornah on loan

Tyrese Fornah turned out for Derby County in their season-opening defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Friday

Salford City have signed midfielder Tyrese Fornah on a season-long loan from Championship side Derby County.

The 24-year-old joins having helped the Rams win automatic promotion from League One last season.

After a youth career with Reading and Nottingham Forest, Fornah had loan spells with Plymouth Argyle, Shrewsbury Town and a return to the Royals before joining Derby.

“The club’s ambition is to go up, which is exactly my ambition; I think this is a team that’s more than capable of getting promoted," he told the club website.
