Colchester United have re-signed striker Anthony Scully from Portsmouth, recruited Brentford forward Kyreece Lisbie, brought back former U's defender Kane Vincent-Young on a short-term deal, and signed Ken Aboh on loan from Norwich City.

Scully, 25, started the campaign with Colchester but returned to Fratton Park in January after an initial stay that was hampered by an ankle injury that required surgery.

He will now see out the season with the League Two side.

The former Lincoln City forward had managed one goal in nine appearances for Colchester between September and November.

Lisbie, 21, was part of Brentford's B Team and moves to a club where his father Kevin scored 30 league goals over two spells between 2007 and 2010.

Lisbie has signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2027.

Free agent Vincent-Young has signed a deal that will run until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old was previously with the U's as a teenager and enjoyed a breakthrough season in the 2015-16 campaign, going on to make 112 league appearances before joining Ipswich Town in the summer of 2019.

He spent last season with Wycombe Wanderers but has not played a first-team game in almost a year.

Forward Aboh, 20, has made one appearance for the Canaries and played seven times on loan at Stevenage this season, scoring once.
