Sam Greenwood spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough

Preston North End have signed Leeds United forward Sam Greenwood on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old scored five goals in 37 Championship appearances on loan at Middlesbrough last season.

“I’m really pleased with the signing of Sam," boss Ryan Lowe told the club website.

"He’s a great footballer with quality with his left and right foot, and his set pieces are excellent too."
