John McAtee inspired League One play-off chasers Bolton to victory win at struggling Shrewsbury.
After Vadaine Oliver put the Shrews ahead, the visitors struck back as Eoin Toal scored before McAtee's brace.
Luca Hoole set up a nervy finish but Bolton survived, leaving them outside the top six on goal difference, with third-bottom Shrewsbury four points from safety.
The hosts broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when John Marquis' shot from close range rebounded off the crossbar and Oliver was there to tuck it in.
McAtee went close for Bolton just before half-time, getting on the end of Aaron Collins' cross but his header was pushed behind for a corner.
Oliver nearly got a second just after the break, but his headed chance was cleared for a corner.
Bolton levelled just before the hour mark with Toal unleashed a curling strike that rippled into the back of the net.
The visitors pulled ahead minutes later when McAtee drove a thunderous shot into the bottom corner from inside the box.
McAtee got his second in the 79th minute, firing home from close range from a Szabolcs Schon cross.
Shrewsbury pulled one back late on when Hoole tucked away at the back post.
